Our team is working on a new parenting video project called It Starts at Home. Our aim is to equip parents with tools to disciple their kids.  It’s tempting to outsource the spiritual development of our kids to the church.  I love my church but I wouldn’t want to leave it totally up to them to tell my kids about Jesus.

This series will give parents the Biblical foundation they need for discipling their kids and then we’ll send them home with very practical tools to put it into practice in the context of everyday life.

Today was exciting because we got to shoot some teaching sessions with Gary Thomas.  Gary’s books Sacred Parenting and Sacred Marriage are used by many churches as the go to books on these topics.  Gary delivered some great stuff today.  

Next week we will shoot additional teaching sessions with Matt Chandler of The Village Church.  Kurt and Olivia Bruner will be hosting the series.  They are involved in the HomePointe ministry of Lake Pointe church.
