Ruth
Teaching in Central Asia with
Network of International Christian Schools

Ruth contacted a RightNow mission coach as she approached graduation.  After a short-term mission trip to the Middle East, Ruth desired to return overseas to impact the lives of people living in countries were the church was very small.  Ruth’s degree in education was a natural fit with an organization called the Network of International Christian Schools.  Ruth will depart this August to spend two years teaching in Central Asia.

The Network of International Christian Schools works with a 23 schools worldwide instilling in each student a Biblical world-view through quality education.

Melissa
Teaching English in East Asia with
Teachoverseas.org

After the Traveling Team came to her college campus, Melissa begin corresponding with a RightNow mission coach about her desire to serve overseas.  Through this conversation Melissa applied and has been accepted to teach English in East Asia this summer with an organization called Teachoverseas.org.

Teachoverseas.org works in ten countries sending individuals overseas to share Christ’s love through teaching conversational English.

Elisa's story--
Spending five months in Southeast Asia with
Operation Mobilization after Passion 07

Elisa was introduced to RightNow through the Passion 07 event.  Through her interactions with a mission coach, Elisa discovered a place to serve in Southeast Asia for 5 months with Operation Mobilization.  Elisa will be counseling and working in a recovery ministry for victimized women among other various ministries.

Operation Mobilization is made up of over 4,000 people working in over 100 countries serving to bring a message of hope to the peoples of the world.

Kristin's story--
Spending a year in Africa working with children through
Africa Inland Mission

Kristin begin talking with a mission coach at RightNow following the Passion 06 event.  She shared her heart to use her early childhood education degree in Africa.  Kristin’s mission coach gave her a few mission opportunities to start with and helped her get the ball rolling. From there, Kristin found the perfect opportunity to serve for 1 year working with children in North Africa through Africa Inland Mission.  Kristin even has recruited a friend and plans on leaving in January to serve Christ in North Africa.

Africa Inland Mission exists to declare the glory of God to the peoples of Africa through starting new churches, establishing mature churches and training future leaders.

Kristin's story--
Spending Spring Break in Denver with
Open Door Ministries
Kristin contacted RightNow looking for an opportunity for her college group to spend Spring Break serving Christ.  Her mission coach helped her locate an inner-city ministry in Denver called Open Door Ministries.  This Spring Break Kristin will bring a group of 25+ college students to Denver to serve on a construction project and in ministry to women and children. 

Open Door Ministries provides practical love and hope in inner-city Denver to those who are homeless or living in poverty.

Sarah's story--

Voice of the Martyrs
Sarah contacted RightNow looking for a way to be involved in missions from her home state of Oklahoma.  Sarah’s mission coach helped her discover Voice of the Martyrs an international organization that has volunteer opportunities in Oklahoma. Sarah recently took a tour of the Voice of the Martyr warehouse and realized she could bring her youth group with her to volunteer.  This Spring Break Sarah is making plans along with her youth pastor to bring a group of students to the warehouse to help create care packages for persecuted Christians.

Voice of the Martyrs ministers to Christians living in persecution through advocacy and gifts to the persecuted church. 

Dustin's Story--
Using his accounting degree with
World Relief

Dustin was an accounting major in college and had been working for a corporate accounting firm when he heard about the RightNow website.  After talking with a friend, he discovered that he could use his accounting skills at a mission organization.  Through Dustin’s connection with RightNow, he was hired to work at World Relief using his accounting skills in their finance department. 

World Relief works to relieve human suffering, poverty and hunger in 18 countries worldwide all in the name of Christ.

Brett's Story--
Teaching life skills and business in Rwanda with
Business as Mission, Rwanda
Brett contacted RightNow searching for an opportunity to spend six months in an impoverished area of Africa making an impact for Christ.  Brett’s RightNow Mission Coach connected him with Business as Mission, Rwanda.  Brett leaves in January for Rwanda where he will spend time using his education degree to teach Rwanda orphans. 

Business as Mission, Rwanda is an exciting new ministry using business as a means of helping to alleviate the oppression of poverty in one of the world’s most impoverished countries.

Ryan's Story--
Spending a year in the Sudan with
SIM Ryan contacted RightNow after a friend told him about his guidance from a RightNow mission coach.  Ryan desired to serve in Africa for one year using his engineering degree to help build wells and complete water sanitation projects.  Ryan’s mission coach connected him to SIM and a project in the Sudan where he could use his engineering skills and help complete a water project for a local village. Ryan leaves this January for Sudan

Andy and Jenny's Story--
Connecting with
Apartment Life through the Fusion+Dallas event

Andy and Jenny had been searching and praying for several months about how they could get involved in a ministry making an impact in their community.  During the Fusion+Dallas event, they connected with Apartment Life.  Apartment Life is a local community ministry serving in apartments demonstrating the love of Christ in a non-threatening way through relational ministry that draws people closer to Christ over time.  Andy and Jenny are moving into their new apartment this month and will start their ministry to their neighbors in the apartment community this holiday.

Kimi's Story--
Making the most of her student teaching through
International Teams

Kimi met with a staff member from The Traveling Team while they were on her campus.  The Traveling Team connected Kimi to a RightNow Mission Coach.  Kimi was planning on student teaching in Ecuador and desired to get involved with missions in her spare time.  Kimi’s coach connected her to a youth ministry through International Teams who happened to have a volunteer opportunity in the same city where Kimi was student teaching. 

Jeni's Story--
Using her Graphic Design skills to impact the world with
Operation Mobilization

Jeni contacted RightNow after a member of The Traveling Team told her about the 3,000+ mission opportunities on the RightNow website.  Jeni had just graduated from college and was looking for a way to use her graphic design skills in missions.  Jeni’s mission coach contacted her and helped her find an opportunity to serve with Operation Mobilization.  Jeni is currently living in the United Kingdom and working on graphic design projects for a ministry to Muslims living in London

Rakia's story-

Connecting to an opportunity in Spain with TEAM

Rakia connected with RightNow through a web search.  Rakia was challenging herself to “tithe her life” the same way she tithes her finances.  She desired to spend her first 6 months after college serving on the mission field before stepping into a career position.  Rakia’s coach listened to her story and helped her discover a connection in Spain with a mission organization called TEAM.  Rakia will depart this January to take part in a teaching ministry in Spain.  

 

Seth and Emily's story- 
Connecting to a long-term team with
Avant Ministries

Seth and Emily were living in South Korea at an international school when they begin their search for a organization to partner with in long-term mission work.  Through the RightNow website they were able to connect with a coach even though they were on a different continent.  Seth and Emily’s coach helped them narrow down their search and discover an opportunity to join a long-term team with Avant ministries.  They will start their training this January and are scheduled to depart for Central Asia with their new team in the next year.
